Nowadays treatment of inflammatory bowel disease
Therapy of patients with inflammatory bowel disease is in order of not fully explained etiopathogenesis nonspecific and empiric. It is focused upon suppression of immunological and inflammatory processes. Medication used at ulcerative colitis and Cohn’s disease are basically the same. Critical factors at identifying therapeutic strategy are localization, length, severity of inflammatory activity, complication of disease, as well as response to present treatment.
