Quality of primary health care in Europe (QALICOPC – EU Project)

One of the important subjects of interest of health care institutions in Europe is the Primary health care quality and effectiveness. Slovak republic is not an exception in this content. While in most European countries the Primary health care is provided by General practitioners or Family doctors, in Slovakia it is traditionally divided to two types of doctors: „Practitioners for adults“ and „Practitioners for children and adolescents“. Irrespective of the mentioned differences, there are certain common problems for Primary health care all over the Europe. Desire for quality, equal access and cost-effectiveness belongs to the most important. The EU project QALICOPC, introduced here, is focused on the mentioned topics.
