Contra-indication of the Hormone Replacement Therapy in Climacteric

Gradual accummulations of evidence based medicine knowledge on substitutional hormone replacement therapy in climacteric changed the attitude towards contra-indications in HRT. Many conditions, previously considered as obstacle for HRT are currently not considered a contra-indication ANY MORE. There are clearly defined monitoring schedules for HRT and individualized consideration of risk-benefit is of great importance.
