When should be the substitutional hormonal therapy recommended?

Women make up 55 % of total world population. This percentage is set to steadily increase over the next three decades. Europa also has the highest proportion of older women in the world. An ideal approach for the female postmenopausal population would be treatment of any condition that can improve physical, mental and social well-being. Low-dose hormonal therapy has been shown to improve menopausal and vulvovaginal atrophic symptoms. Physicians should investigate the presence and severity of the climacteric symptoms in order to provide appropriate treatment.
