Oropharyngeal carcinomas

oropharyngeal carcinomas are one of the most common mucosal cancer of the head and neck. Although the oropharynx is one of the most accessible area for inspection and palpation, oropharyngeal cancers are detected in advanced stages. good knowledge of the clinical signs and symptoms of these tumors, meticulous examination of the oropharynx already in the outpatient department of the general practitioner, should lead to improvement of early diagnostics and treatment results of the disease.
