Hormone replacement therapy, for and against in 2014

The time around menopause is associated with a lot of questions, distress and changes by each woman. Signs of climacteric syndrome, vaginal atrophy decrease her quality of life. But it is a time, when we can with the right approach bring the patient back in normal life and prevent externally invisible traps of postmenopause (osteoporosis, cardiovascular diseases), too. The right choice of patient and with good instruction get her over the fear from hormonal therapy is very important part of gynecological practice. The recommendations about hormonal therapy were changing progressively, there were beleaguered by media with not scientific verified information and today women are afraid of „hormones“. In this article are discussed the latest recommendations about hormonal therapy from results of latest studies.
