Minor injuries at outpatient clinic

Minor injuries seen by general practitioner at outpatient clinic are relatively frequent. Recognition of the extent and severity of the injury, primary treatment and making sufficient decision of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are the keys for good outcome result for the patient. In the article the authors bring basic information about small injuries of skeleton, skin, burns, about the first aid and their treatment by general practitioner. Wounds and injuries of the knee are most the common injuries seen by general practitioner. In some cases even in minor injuries general practitioner should seek help from a trauma specialist.
