Other primary headache disorders – selected types
Primary headaches are the most common type of headache. In this group according to the International classification of headache disorders, we include migraine, tension headache, trigeminal autonomic cephalgia and other primary headache disorders. Last category includes several types of headaches that we can encounter in clinical practice. Characteristic of this group of headaches is the less clarified etiology, as well as treatment methods, which are not based on the results of randomized drug trials, but nevertheless some medications are effective in the treatment of this group of headaches. In the article, I deal with selected types of other primary headaches with an emphasis on their clinical presentation, differential diagnosis and treatment options.
