OPTIMAL (TARGET) DOSING OF ACE INHIBITORS

ACE inhibitors have been using in clinical practice for more than 20 years. At presence they represent one of the most important pharmacological approach in patients suffering from hypertension, coronary artery disease, stroke, various renal disorders and diabetes mellitus type 2. Their cardioprotective and renoprotective properties are well known as the results of many randomized clinical trials realized all over the world. For reaching the benefit of ACEI therapy, so as good efficacy and compliance of patients it is necessary to tailor the optimal initial and target dose for every patient treated with ACE inhibitors.
