Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease – current opinions
The increasing prevalence of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease is becoming a global issue. It is estimated that 10 % of adult world population suffer from this disease. Despite the fact that this disease is chronic and can not be cured, now a days it is considered as preventible and treatable disease if we improve the course of disease, influence symptoms, exacerbations, health status and even prognosis. Early diagnostic and treatment have huge pharmacoeconomic advantages.
