Actual approach to asthma management, news from GINA 2017
Author outlines newest views on asthma definition and diagnosis, and its actual management. The position of anti-inflammatory drugs is still valid, however, in the development of classical anti-asthma drugs we cannot expect epochal discoveries. Also in the field of asthma new therapies from the group of so called biologicals are coming. The same necessity as optimal pharmacotherapy is patient compliance and adherence to the certain treatment. Also from this point of view biologicals may be in selected cases good contribution.
