How to recognize Parkinson´s disease in general practice
Parkinson´s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder, presenting mainly with impaired motor functions – bradykinesia, tremor and gait and balance disturbances. Also, a variety of non-motor symptoms is common in PD – including sleep disturbances, hyposmia, vegetative dysfunction and mood changes. This article summarizes symptoms present across all stages of Parkinson‘s disease. They might be recognized by a general practitioner what helps to early diagnose and propriate treat this disease.
