ADJUVANTS IN THE TREATMENT OF CHRONIC PAIN

Author in the contribution represents supplementary component of chronic pain therapy – adjuvants from the point of view of increased ineffectiveness of chronic pain therapy and elimination of possible side effects of analgetics, mostly opioids. It doesn’t solve all problems, because of broad problematic where non-specialist can loose orientation. The attention is preferentially aimed to the most frequently used adjuvants-psychopharmacs drugs those have in the therapy of chronic pain the major importance, regard with limited interdisciplinary cooperation in chronic pain therapy. The general practitioner should in his praxis respect the connection between pre-clinical and clinical problems in the therapy of chronic pain.
