The importance of surgery of perforator veins in the treatment of severe chronic venous insufficiency
Insufficient perforator veins play an important role in the development of severe chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) (st. C4 – C6). Surgical removal of the perforator insufficiency significantly reduces venous hypertension and contributes to the faster healing of venous ulcers and also helps to reduce their recurrence.
