Compression therapy for chronic venous disease and chronic venous insufficiency
Compression therapy is a part of comprehensive treatment of venous diseases. Its principle is the application of graduated pressure on lower extremities and the reduction of venous hypertension. The indications and contraindications of compression, limitation of treatment and possible side effects have to be respected in practice.
