Intramural hematoma of the aorta
Intramural aortic hematoma (IMH) belongs to acute aortal diseases, directly life threatening, mainly if it is localized in the ascending aorta. In contrast to aortic dissection, a lower attention is paid to it in the professional literature and it is less to be thought about it in clinical practice. In the following review article we would like to point out the specifics of an IMH patient clinical presentation, problems in differential diagnostics of other aortic diseases and controversy in opinions at choice of the optimum treatment strategy in patients with this serious disease.
