Cerebrovascular complications in cancer patients
The article provides a basis for better understanding the pathophysiology of acute and late cerebrovascular complications in oncologic patients population and identifying those at greatest risk. It also provides valuable data on the association between malignancy, treated with chemotherapy and radiotherapy and stroke. Accumulating data indicate the risks for stroke after modern targeted therapy. Knowing of pathogenetic mechanisms of stroke in oncologic patients can be used as a foundation for refined monitoring guidelines and prevention.
