Experience with administration of verapamil into the plaque in patients with induratio penis plastica (Peyronie’s disease)
Induratio penis plastica, or Peyronie’s disease, is a condition characterized by the presence of fibrous plaques in the tunica albuginea of the penis. It is a connective tissue disease in which the plaques composed of collagen may significantly alter the anatomy and function of the penis. The author summarizes literature data and the results of treatment with verapamil in 19 patients.
