Venerology minimum for urologi
Incidence of sexually transmitted infections has been steadily rising in the Czech Republic especially in specific populations such as men who have sex with men. Therefore syphilis, gonorrhea and lymphogranuloma venereum should be always considered in differential diagnostics of various conditions in urological praxis. If these diseases are diagnosed early they can be cured without serious complications. The purpose of this short article is to provide basics of epidemiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic and therapeutic approach for these three mandatory reported diseases in the Czech Republic.
