Testicular tumor in two brothers
Testicular tumors are the most common malignacy in men between the ages of 20 and 40 years. One of the risk factors is the familial incidence of testicular cancer. For brothers the risk of developing of the tumor is 8–10 times higher. The tumors are of the same histological type mainly in identical twins, but for most non-twin siblings there are different histological findings. This report presents cases of two brothers aged 25 and 23 with testicular tumor who were examined and treated at our department in short time of 6 months. In both patiens was early performed radical inguinal orchiectomy. In the case of an older brother, there was a histological finding of a mixed germinal tumor – 70 % of embryonal carcinoma and 30 % of yolk sac tumor. In younger of both brothers there was histologically confirmed classic seminoma of testis. After finishing of staging we sent both young men to oncology department for further management of the disease.
