Current options of treating vulvovaginal discomfort

Vulvovaginal discomfort is a common complaint in gynaecological patients. More frequently, the cause is dysbacteriosis rather than infection. The condition tends to recur. In addition to anti-infective therapy, restoration of the vaginal milieu with probiotics is recommended for both treatment and prevention.
