Salvage pelvic exenteration in a patient with local recurrence of cervical cancer and urological complications
This article is to report on the case of a female patient with local recurrence of squamous cell carcinoma of uterine cervix after response to prior therapy had failed. On the ground of radical hysterectomy and adjuvant radiotherapy and with developing sepsis, salvage total pelvic exenteration was performed. The patient has been in cancer remission for 7 years and she leads a quality life.
