The use of imaging techniques in urolithiasis

Imaging techniques are an essential part of evaluating a patient suspected of having renal colic in order to confirm or exclude the diagnosis. Subsequently, they allow to determine a specific effective and feasible treatment. In general, imaging techniques are indispensable in modern medicine, as proved by the treatment of urolithiasis.
