Patient catetrization and nursing care of patients with bladder catheterization aimed at preventing infection
Bladder catheterization is an invasive aseptic procedure that carries both infectious and non-infectious risks. The article deals with the problems of urinary tract infections associated with catheteriziation. The article presents the possibilities of prevention of these infections, witch follow from the HICPAC/CDC recommendations and are then summarized in the conclusion as recommendations for practice.
