Importance of imaging examinations in the diagnosis of suspected isolated spleen metastasis – a case report
We report the case of a 68-year-old patient originally operated for sigmoidal adenocarcinoma without metastatic involvement and without lymph node involvement. She subsequently underwent adjuvant chemotherapy, was discharged, a suspected isolated spleen metastasis was diagnosed at seven-year interval, and the patient underwent splenectomy, but the finding was not confirmed histologically.
