Vater papilla tumors - radiological diagnostics

Ampular adenomas occurring in the Vater papilla are rare, benign neoplastic lesions. The risk factor is the presence of genetically inherited polyposis syndromes. Clinically, they develop jaundice, bleeding, recurrent pancreatitis, or duodenal obstruction. Biliary papillomatosis is a disease of extrahepatic or intrahepatic bile ducts with a high frequency of recurrence.Papillary carcinoma is an unusual tumor that accounts for about 1% of all adenocarcinomas. It arises from the biliary epitelium in the Vater papilla.
