Congenital Treves ’ field hernia in children – case report
With a decrease mortality in premature neonates, the incidence of congenital malformation leads to their late manifestation in older childhood. However, this does not mean that congenital malformation cannot manifest in mature child. Congenital Treves’ field hernia is a rare, false intraabdominal hernia that situated between the branch of ileocolic and upper mesenteric artery. It often occurs with other congenital malformation of gastrointestinal tract - Meckel‘s diverticulum, chronic volvulus, etc. It could be the cause of later, rare acute abdomen in older child. Accurate indication and timing of surgery is the best prevention of intestinal necrosis with its extensive resection and later complications (short bowel syndrome, stoma, malnutrition, postoperative complications , etc.)
