Primary malignant melanoma of the rectum - a case report

Primary melanoma of the anorectal area is a malignant neoplasm which is located in extracutanepus area, it is characterized by early extensive metastases, severe continuance and poor prognosis. On some stages this disease might progress without any significant symptoms. Surgery is a standard in the treatment of localized forms of primary melanoma. Here, we present a case in which 69-year-old woman had a primary anorectal melanoma, we give an overview in the literature.
