Inferior epigastric artery lesion during laparoscopic appendectomy – a case report

Laparoscopic appendectomy is a safe surgical method. Its peroperative complications include injury by the Veress needle or by the trocar. Bleeding caused by trocar is rare and detected during the operation or in the early postoperative period. However, delay in recognition may lead to significant morbidity and mortality. We present a case report of a patient with acute appendicitis, for which during the laparoscopic operation was injury inferior epigastric artery, with its subsequent treatment. In the early postoperative period occurs to complications in terms of abscedens hematoma in the wound, the need for further hospitalization of the patient.
