Open healing with using „U“ flap in severe form of Dupuytren´s contracture
With the improvement of dispensarisation and diagnostics the therapy of Dupuytrens contracture concerns mainly the earlier stages. Nevertheless, the incidence of progressive forms of the disease isnt significantly decreasing. Severe form of Dupuytren‘s contracture presents therapeutic challenge and the proper selection of surgical technique and postoperative care is critical. The aim of the authors is to present an alternative operating technique and postoperative care for progressive forms of Dupuytren‘s contracture using a „U“ flap and its advantages over other techniques used.
