An unusual fracture of IV. metatarsus in child dancer - case report
Skeletal fractures of the foot may range in 5 to 8% of all pediatric fractures. In addition, the importance of getting a correct and timely diagnosis together with the choice of the treatment will result in a success rate in the treatment of these kind of fractures. Even though the results show that most treatment of childhood skeletal fractures has been diagnosed correctly, mistakes can occur and any follow-up treatment should be very limited or even avoided as a prevention of the permanent consequences after injury.
