Small intestinal tumors, reason of illeus

Small intestinal tumors are rare diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, many times asymptomatic, and often diagnosed when the patient has undergone surgery for ileus or bleeding. The disease is inconspicuous without characteristic clinical or laboratory symptoms. Imaging tests, including the most modern methods, can help to diagnose these illnesses, thus enabling the surgical solution to be timely. In our case, we describe the case of a 77 year old polymorbid patient who has been admitted to our department for non-specific dyspeptic disorders under the image of a subileotic state of unclear cause. Subsequently she was subjected to the surgical procedure where a tumorous process was found at the interface of the jejunum and ileum. Later histologically it was described as angiosarcoma. In the article we describe the epidemiology, etiology, typology of diagnostic and therapeutic possibilities of these diseases.
