Multivisceral resections for malignant tumor of the pancreas
Multivisceral resection performed for achievement of R0 resection are rare in diagnosis of malignant tumor of the pancreas, they are even more rare if in MVR is involved the nephrectomy. In the Department of Surgery of F.D.Roosevelt Hospital during period 2000 – 2012 there were performed 72 multivisceral resections from which 7 was performed for pancreatic malignant tumor. Case report of MVR performed for rare malignant solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas, which previously appeared to be the renal cancer, shows the possibilities of performing these complicated operations in the centers of pancreatic surgery.
