Minimaly invasive esophagectomy

Minimaly invasive esophagectomy is an effective operating procedure in patients with esophageal disorders or malignancy. Cosmetic effect is not the aim in such cases. The most importatnt is reduction of postoperating pneumonia and SIRS. It is also necessary to perform radicality in case of malignancy. There are some operating procedures to achieve this. In principle it is about combination of laparoscopic and thoracoscopic aproaches and as new combination of transcervical and laparoscopic aproaches. It is not possible to reach results without adecvate intensive care, operating equipment and sufficient experiences in this operating field. Some surgeons have proved benefit from this operation. It is not the procedure of choice but in exactly set indications is an effective method to treat the pacient.
