Lumbar interbody fusion in the treatment of degenerative spondylolisthesis
Degenerative spondylolisthesis is a pathological condition characterized by a shift of a vertebra towards more caudal vertebra due to degenerative changes. A frequently discussed topic in spondylosurgery is the treatment of degenerative spondylolisthesis. After depletion of conservative therapy options, lumbar interbody fusion is a widely accepted surgical treatment for spondylolisthesis. The authors in the article present the 3 most used operative approaches of lumbar interbody fusion in their workplace – TLIF, ALIF a XLIF.
