Laparoscopic resection for the large bowel and the rectal carcinoma, summary of the outcomes on the Department of Surgery in Žilina Hospital, part 2.

The aim of autors is to approximate laparoscopic resections of large bowel and rectum in Department of Surgery in Žilina to Surgeons as a continue the previous article with accent to evaluation of the treatment. In this prospective study we enrolled 503 patients, which were operated from 2003 to 2010. In this article we evaluated the duration of the hospital stay, death to 30th postoperative day, necessary to therapeutical using of the antibiotics, complications during and after laparoscopic and due to laparotomy resection of the large bowel and the rectum.
