Complications of colorectal cancer surgery. Part I. Intraoperative complications

Surgery of colorectal cancer may cause specific complications. These complications can occur already during the surgery itself as well as during the postoperative period. The most serious intraoperative complications include massive life threatening presacral bleeding and various types of ureteral lesions. Postoperative complications are manifested shortly after a surgery, but also in later postoperative period
