Fournier gangrene – complication in a polymorbid patient with perianal abscess - case report

Fournier‘s gangrene (FG) is a very serious necrotizing fasciitis characterized by obliterative endarteritis and thrombosis of the subcutaneous arteries resulting in gangrene of the subcutaneous tissue and overlying skin (1). Its mortality rate remains high. It affects mostly weakened immunosuppressed patients and patients with comorbidities. Affected men are more often. There is a great discussion on the the most appropriate and effective treatment of Fournier‘s gangrene. The aim of this article is to show on risics factors and novel approach to treatment on the example of the our patient .
