Surgical treatment of rectal cancer using the Endo GIA™ Radial Reload with Tri-Staple™ Technology

Colorectal carcinoma is common problem for surgeon and patient becasue of it´s frequency, especially if the distal rectum is affected. The trend of nowadays is using of sphincter preservating surgery, which brings better quality of life while unchanged survival, or higher locoregional recidivation. Every surgeon likes news, which allow safer anastomosis. One of the lastest news is development of stapler Endo GIA™ Radial Reload with Tri-Staple™ technology, which improves a quality and facilitate providing of distal part of rectum closure. Stapler is appropriate for open laparotomy and laparoscopy, too. The first experiences show the safety of rectal closure thanks to newer technology of Covidien firm.
