Appendicolith upon acute appendicitis - case report
The authors present therapy of the patient hospitalized at the surgical clinic for the acute appendicitis. During the computer tomography (CT) the significantly thickened appendix with appendicolith to 22 mm was found. The introduction is focused on pathogenesis, bacteriology and the diagnosis of the disease. In the case report the importance of the anamnesis, examination, laboratory parameters and diagnostic imaging methods to reach the diagnosis and therapy in this particular case of the laparoscopic appendectomy (L-APE) is underlined.
