Working environment and mental disorders
Work environment has been considered an important predictor of the development of mental disorders, where many psychosocial factors have a negative impact on the mental health status of employees. Psychological variables such as work overload, stress, burnout syndrome, depressive and neurotic disorders are the third most common causes of absenteeism and employee fluctuation. They can contribute to the development of occupational diseases in some occupations. Caring for the mental health of employees is important for maintaining work, increasing performance, reducing workload, fatigue, incapacity at work, and reducing of overall incidence of occupational diseases.
