The influence of lifestyle on epigenetic regulation: implications for psychiatric disorders
Environmental factors and lifestyle can change human epigenetic status with methylation, acetylation DNA, histon methylation, miRNA expresion etc. Different epigenetic regulations can be associated with various diseases, such as tumors, cardiovascular, mental and neurodegenerative diseases. The aim of this contribution is to summarize the impal of lifestyle on epigenetic mechanisms that consequently can affect the pathogenesis of mental disorders.A part of this publication includes an analysis of lifestyle risk factors, whitch can be related with Schizophrenia and Alzheimer ´s disease from author ´s case control studies.
