Syndrome because of SSRI discontinuing
Syndrome of withdrawal can accompany therapy by antidepressants from group of SSRI. Although this is considered to be relatively less serious complication of therapy, it can generate severe discomfort for a patient. If withdrawal syndrome is not recognized it could lead to incorrect direction of therapy by a physician. The article defines clinical situations, when withdrawal syndrome can occur, its clinical hall marks, some hypotheses on biological mechanism of symptoms origin and approaches in preventing withdrawal syndrome and management of its symptoms.
