Schizoaffective disorder – a stable diagnosis?
Schizoaffective disorder is defined not that exactly as other mental disorders and its etiopathogenetic determination is uncertian besides. Contemporary findings and growing new research data (family genetic studies, phenomenology, course and prognosis...) suggesting that schizoaffective disorder would be heterogenous group of disorders with similar clinical characteristics. Therefore, in terms of Evidence based medicine new psychopharmacological trials are needed to define therapeutic guidelines for schizoaffective disorder.
