Psychotic motivated ordered murder – a case report

Customers and executors of this type of murder belong obviously to the groups of the organized crime. Novotný et al. (2003) have described two case-reports of the ordered and not realized murders outside a criminal environment. Both offenders were diagnosed as the histrionic personality disorder, that has an influence on a motivation of their behavior. In the current case report, 36-years old woman, yet not punished, without psychiatric history. She addressed on the street two unknown Roma men to murder her ex-husband and her parents. Her personality was simplex, with the traits of the histrionic personality disorder. Experts have diagnosed the affective disorder – hypomania as well (with elevated mood, accelerated thinking, increased stream of associations, lost of inhibition, nonresponsible behavior). Regarding to a psychotic motivation of the crime, experts recommended to stop the prosecution and to order a protective treatment. The control examination four month later confirmed the retreat of the psychotic symptomatology and critical insight into a motivation of the crime.
