Issues of cooperation and failure to cooperate in psychiatric daily centrum conditions
The Thesis analyses problems related with cooperation of patients in conditions of a daily centrum of the Psychiatric Clinic of the Faculty of Medicine, Comenius University and University Hospital in Bratislava. 193 patients, after-treated in daily center (DC) conditions in 2004 – 2008, were included in the file. They were mostly patients with diagnoses from the circle of schizophrenia (147 patients) and affective disorders (33 patients). Problems with cooperation were found with 39 patients (20.2 %). At the end of the Thesis, the authors refer to consequences of patients´ failure to cooperate during the course of the treatment (need for a relocation back to the bed department due to a deterioration of their condition, self-willed departure from the sanatorium, etc.) and to possibilities to affect the cooperation (psychoeducational programmes, psychotherapeutic intervention, working with family).
Keywords: compliance, after-treatment of psychoses in daily center conditions, consequences of a failure to cooperate, possibilities to affect it.
