Some types of addictions and their most commonly co-morbid psychiatric disorders
In this paper authors tried to find the most commonly co-morbid psychiatric disorders in the monitored files of 55 inpatients dependent on alcohol, and 55 gamblers. They found that the results of this study are comparable with results reported in foreign researches and publications. They detected an increased incidence of co-morbid affective disorders (depression), anxiety disorders and specific personality disorders. In both files was dominated nicotinism, which is often underestimated. On the statistical significance level was found increased incidence of alcoholism and cannabinoids and amphetamines abuse in the file of gamblers that were lower in age. In the file of alcohol addicted inpatients was also observed predominance of organic damage to the CNS (central nervous system).
