Violent behavior and possibilities of its modification

Part II – Neurotransmitters and pharmacotherapy The authors describe the effect of neurotransmitters on aggressive behavior. Therapeutical strategies with antipsychotics, beta blockers, benzodiazepins and thymoprophylactics in management of acute persistent non psychotic and acute persistent psychotic violent behavior are discussed in this article.
