Multimodality of trazodone and its use in daily clinical practice
Trazodone is a serotonin antagonist and reuptake inhibitor (SARI) that has been available for the treatment of depresion and associated symptoms since the early 1970s. The aim of this review is to summarize the pharmacological properties of trazodone in improving of broad spectrum of symptoms, including symptoms of depression, anxiety, irritability, and insomnia in the context of newly published data.
