Compliance of psychotic patients with drug education
The aim of this work was to verify the hypothesis that patients with psychotic disorder who have undergone drug education (LESK) will cooperate longer in treatment and so the recurrence of the disorder and the need for the rehospitalization will delay. The pharmaceutical educational group (LESK) is specifically focused on the training of the capabilities regarding to medication, manipulation and is adding (not replacing) the psychoeducational program (Prelaps). The research sample consisted of two groups, each of 30 patients and the difference was in the passing out the LESK. 1,5 year after the end of the education in the educational group there were significantly fewer relapses than the control group had (p=0.032*) and while the patients in the educational group cooperate insignificantly shorter than those in the control group (p=0.93). Educational group reach significantly better results in knowledge test than the control group – starting test (p=0.008**), also final test (p=0.0002***). After the 6 years of analyzing of the researched sample, there were 36 relapses registered with 3 drop outs in the educational group compared to the control group with 46 relapses and 4 drop outs.
